Our Programs
Three programs. Each built for a specific need.
algonqisfs offers focused, purposeful programs — not a broad catalogue. Each program addresses a particular financial situation that adults in their forties, fifties, and early sixties commonly face.

How algonqisfs programs are structured
Every program we offer follows a consistent set of principles: participants receive structured content, time to ask questions, materials to take home, and follow-up support where appropriate. Facilitators are trained to manage group dynamics thoughtfully so that no individual dominates and no individual is left behind.
Programs are intentionally different lengths. The Tax Preparation Workshop is two sessions because the content is specific and time-bound. The Couples program is three sessions because financial dialogue between partners requires time to develop. The Resilience program is eight weeks because rebuilding financial health is not a weekend exercise.
All programs are reviewed annually. Content reflects the current Canadian tax year and any regulatory changes that have come into effect.

Financial Conversations for Couples
CAD $245
A 3-session facilitated program for couples over 40 who want to align their financial perspectives and build a shared approach to money management. This is not couples counselling — it is an educational framework for productive financial dialogue.
Topics include joint and separate accounts, spending values, long-term goal-setting, and navigating financial disagreements respectfully. Sessions are conducted privately, via video call or in-person, with guided discussion prompts and take-home reflection worksheets.
Key Benefits
- Each partner has equal voice in a structured, facilitated setting
- Covers both practical topics and the emotional side of shared finances
- Ideal for couples approaching retirement or blending finances after a later-in-life partnership
- Reflection worksheets taken home for continued dialogue between sessions
- No financial product recommendations — purely educational
How It Works
Enquiry and matching — You reach out, we discuss your situation and confirm the program is a good fit.
Pre-session preparation — Both partners receive a brief questionnaire to gather context and identify topics to prioritize.
Three facilitated sessions — Approximately 90 minutes each, with discussion prompts and structured exercises.

Key Benefits

- Personalized document checklist taken home after the first session
- Ample Q&A time — small group size ensures all questions are addressed
- Covers OAS, CPP, pension income, and age-related credits
- Available in both in-person and virtual formats
How It Works

Session 1: Overview and deductions — Overview of the filing process, common credits and deductions for adults 40+, RRSP deadlines.
