Why algonqisfs

What makes our approach different

Financial learning should meet you where you are โ€” not where a textbook thinks you should be.

Designed for life after 40

Our programs recognize the specific questions and pressures that arrive in midlife and beyond โ€” not generic content built for a younger demographic.

Small, thoughtful groups

Sessions are kept deliberately small so that every participant can ask questions, engage honestly, and leave with clear answers rather than more confusion.

Education, not sales

We are educators, not financial advisors. There are no product pitches here โ€” only structured knowledge and practical tools you can use with your own advisor or independently.

Flexible delivery

Programs run both in-person at our Toronto office and via secure video call, so geography doesn't have to be a barrier to participation.

Respectful tone throughout

No pressure, no judgment, no jargon without explanation. Our facilitators understand that money is personal, and they lead every session accordingly.

Canadian context, always

From RRSP deadlines to OAS considerations, every program is built around the Canadian financial landscape โ€” not adapted from content written elsewhere.

Ready when you are

Take the first step toward financial clarity.

A short conversation is enough to find out which program fits your situation. Reach out by phone, email, or the form below โ€” we respond within one business day.

Common Questions

Things people often ask

Who are your programs designed for?
Our programs are designed with adults aged 40 and older in mind, with particular attention to the financial questions that arise around midlife transitions โ€” approaching retirement, navigating a later-in-life partnership, rebuilding after disruption, or simply wanting to understand the Canadian tax system better.
Are you financial advisors?
No โ€” and that distinction matters. algonqisfs is an educational service, not a financial advisory practice. We provide knowledge, frameworks, and discussion tools. We do not manage money, sell investment products, or provide advice regulated under Ontario securities law. Many of our participants work with their own advisors alongside attending our programs.
How do sessions work โ€” in-person or online?
We offer both. In-person sessions take place at our office at 85 Richmond Street West, Suite 1100, Toronto. Virtual sessions are conducted via a secure video platform. Most programs offer both options; some workshops are format-specific. We confirm details when you register.
What is your cancellation policy?
We understand that circumstances change. Participants who cancel at least 7 business days before their first session receive a full refund. Cancellations within 7 business days may be eligible for a credit toward a future program. Please contact us directly to discuss your situation โ€” we handle these matters on an individual basis.
How much experience do I need to have with financial topics?
None at all. Our programs are designed to be accessible to people who feel uncertain or overwhelmed about financial matters โ€” that is precisely who we created them for. We explain terms as they come up, move at a considered pace, and welcome every question.
How long does it typically take to hear back after enquiring?
We aim to respond to all enquiries within one business day. During peak periods โ€” particularly in late January and February ahead of tax season โ€” response times may extend slightly, but we make every effort to stay in contact promptly.
